On February 13th, 2023 at a regular meeting of the township trustees by a 2 to 1 vote the trustees accepted Kimble’s bid for trash removal  throughout Muskingum Township with the condition that a site could be found on the west side of the river to locate a recycling bin for the residents in that area.  After searching several locations it had been decided that the best location would be at the Oak Grove Fire Department.  Therefore at the regular meeting of the Trustees on March 7th the Trustees, by unanimous vote, elected to sign the waste contract with Kimble for a period of three years.

The bin will be located on the western side of the parking lot between the fire house and the small concrete storage shed off of the parking lot pavement.  The bin will be an 8 yard container for recyclables only.  It will be emptied at a minimum of one time per week.  This bin is the approximate size of the recycling trailer that sits in the parking lot for two days once a month.  We are dedicated to keeping the site clean and will work with the school to avoid any traffic problems.

We will be working with Kimble Companies over the next several months to make a smooth transition from our residents and businesses from their current provider to Kimble Companies.  Our intention is have the transition completed by June 30th, 2023.  In the meantime you may contact us with any questions that you may have about the transition in service.

Thank You

Jay Huck, President  Muskingum Township Trustees
