On February 13th, 2023 at a regular meeting of the township trustees by a 2 to 1 vote the trustees accepted Kimble’s bid for trash removal throughout Muskingum Township with the condition that a site could be found on the west side of the river to locate a recycling bin for the residents in that area. Trash bids were opened at a Special Meeting at the Townhall. Results from the bid opening can be viewed here. Trustees will make a decision on bids at the next meeting on February 13 at 7:00 pm at the Oak Grove Fire Department. Mr. Huck will be contacting residents to help determine current rates being paid throughout the township to help in the decision-making process. The Muskingum Township Trustees will meet on January 17 at 6:00 pm at the Townhall to open bids from trash haulers in response to the request for bids. However, no decisions will be made at this meeting. Decisions to accept or reject a bid will be made at the regular meeting to be held on February 13 at 7:00 pm at Oak Grove Fire Department. Bid responses will be posted to the website after the opening.
