Muskingum Township Trustees adopt resolution allowing APV's and UTV's

At their regular meeting on August 4, 2025, the Muskingum Township Trustees adopted a " RESOLUTION PERMITTING THE USE OF ALL-PURPOSE VEHICLESAND UTILITY VEHICLES ON MUSKINGUM TOWNSHIP ROADS". It can be read in its entirety here. This resolution mirrors the county resolution:

RESOLUTION

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees for Muskingum Township, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 4519.41(B), hereby permits the use of all-purpose vehicles on all roads under the jurisdiction of the Board of Trustees for Muskingum Township, provided that the all-purpose vehicle so used meets the all pertinent equipment requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, is covered by an appropriate policy of financial responsibility, and is operated by a licensed driver;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees for Muskingum Township, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 4511.215(A), hereby permits on all roads under the jurisdiction of the Muskingum Township Board of Trustees with a speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less, the use of utility vehicles provided the vehicle owner has submitted the utility vehicle to, and such vehicle has successfully passed, a law enforcement inspection which satisfies the requirements of Ohio Revised Code 4513.02, and further provided that the vehicle is covered by an appropriate policy of financial responsibility and is operated by a licensed driver;
